Lesson Learned about Certification boards and the man behind them

Sometimes it needs a personal meeting before you get to know someone. This was the case for me with John Gilbert at the AIM training in Brazil. I felt something needed my attention  when in his presentation he only talked about all the certification boards and titles that he recommends and all the horror stories that could happen without this certification.

I had avoided to look into this “certification business” as I had a life-long dislike for tests and  titles. Without knowing much it had the taste of bureo-cracy. However what prompted me to go deeper into this matter was an e-mail that John send me shortly after returning home from the training, telling me that “The German prosecution lawyer (Staatsanwalt) had accepted the title “Informational Medicine specialist” and that this was conveyed to him from one of the certification boards that he recommends.

It takes only a minimal understanding of the legal process that a prosecution lawyer is not the instance that can decide if a new title was acceptable but that this always had to go through the education ministry.

When I told him I did not believe this story he made another mistake telling me that “Informed Consent Forms have been challenged over 600 times with certified, non-licensed biofeedback practitioners but the practitioner has won every case to date. The reason is these forms do not ask for any information that could be used to diagnose anything. At the same time, over 200 non-certified, non-licensed biofeedback professionals have negotiated closing their practice for life in order to avoid fines and incarcerationfor using a Patient Intake Form. Seven of these people operated a CoRe “

You have to know that he also sells his coaching to make “Informed consent forms” but all he does it to teach what to do but leaves it to the practitioner to make it themselves so he does not have to take responsibility for it.

When I wrote “I have not heard from one CoRe practitioner who got into trouble”, and naturally I would be the first to hear about it (and in last weeks posting I asked that if anyone knew anything about such a case he should make it known to me – again nobody contacted me).  When his credibility was this way threatened – he went with his lying one step further and PRETENDED that he in fact had saved 13 CoRe practitioners from severe legal consequences but, and now listen carefully, “He  could not give me their names as this would violate the confidentiality that he had signed – and he would not even want to contact them to ask if he could lift the confidentiality agreement “.

As you can imagine it would be highly unlikely that I the owner and source of the CoRe system would not hear of one such case although I am usually the first to be contacted if there is any trouble whatsoever. But when he even dismissed the possibility to ask them if they agree that he reveals their story to Kiran who wants to learn and to help … it was clear that all his stories about the prosecution lawyer, the 400 practitioners who stayed out of trouble because he had taught them how to make their own “Informed consent form” and the 13 CoRe practitioners that he had saved from legal consequences were pure lies in order to prop up and to prove the value of his work and the services of the certification boards he recommends.

When I only started, to point this out to him in an e-mail he responded in a very hollow way “I love you and Debora and I will continue to support your work but I usually charge 250 $ per hours for my work (whereas until then he had told me he was doing all for free and live exclusively on his retirement) and for that reason I will block your e-mail”

This was the trigger for me to look deeper into his connections and what I found was more shocking.

I had to fight with Sonia my sales manager to make this public as she said that “People want this certifications – and really it is not our business to question John”.  Sorry Sonia this is not my life, to turn my head when I smell it stinks and I know this kind of practice did work only for so long because everyone who started to see that something is not right here, just looked away.

And characters like John are not so rare in the new age and alternative health scene. So many make their business based on fear and on increasing the fear of diseases, pollutions, toxins, radiation, conspiracy, certification boards, codex alimentarius  and last but certainly not least the FDA. They want to appear as the heroes that warn and protect us from all these evil things while many just want to make their own profit. Many of these self-interested Robin-Hoods eventually believe their own prophesies and imaginations, just as John, and it turns into a spiral of lies and more lies.

The fears that they spread is the reason that forms more and more rigid and huge organizations intended to protect like the home land security or the world government to protect against global warming – this is not a conspiracy but the result of all of so many “sheep” wanting more security and predictability.

I was also tempted to believe these horror stories about the FDA and their mafia tactics, however in all these years I only got one letter from the FDA and this is now 2 years ago saying “We have become aware that you are selling a medical device please let us know your registration number”. One sentence only and I replied with one sentence as well “We are not selling a medical device but a device for informational  and spiritual healing, please see our Vision and Mission statement http://www.energy-medicine.info/vision-mission.html ”.

And I have never heard from them again and that despite the following fact : If you put into Google “registering a device with FDA” the first site that comes up even above that of the FDA  itself IS OURS  !!! http://www.energy-medicine.info/fda-registration.html – now imagine they would really disagree with what we state there or how we promote our product – if they were the evil organization that people like John want us to believe – I would be the first under their attack – BUT I AM NOT !
